Yes! Massage is a great accompaniment to chiropractic, osteopathy and physiotherapy. Many clients like to have a massage before chiropractic and osteopathic treatments, as massage relaxes your muscles, so the adjustments performed can be more comfortable.
For your first massage we recommend at least 60 minutes, so that Mathew can adequately assess your needs and how he can help you best.
How long you book is up to you, for full body massage therapy at least an hour is needed, but if your aiming to focus on a particular muscular concern, shorter massages may suit you better.

It really depends on what your concerns and goals are. It is something that Mathew will discuss with you after your treatment.
Short answer: yes!
If you have had regular massage prior to falling pregnant, there is no need to stop your regular routine. If you've never had a massage before, out of an abundance of caution, wait until the 3 month mark has passed. If you would prefer to have additional certainty then please do speak to your doctor and get clearance from them.
Please note that each massage is tailored towards your individual needs and how you are feeling on the day.
Yes. The time you book with OptimAll Health is the time you spend on the table getting your massage.
We will arrive 10-15 minutes early to set up the massage table. The consultation time before and after your massage in NOT included in the time.
Since we come to you, whatever clothing you are comfortable in is fine. For most massages, disrobing down to your underwear for your massage is best. Your massage therapist will leave the room while you're disrobing and a towel is provided to cover yourself. Only the part of your body being massaged will be uncovered.
Your privacy and modesty will always be respected, so it you're more comfortable keeping certain clothing items on, please let us know. After the massage is finished, you will be provided privacy while dressing.
Tight-fitting or bulky undergarments can sometimes get in the way of the massage, especially if your problem areas are the low-back, buttocks, or hips. Bras are usually removed so that straps are not in the way of back and shoulder massage.
This often happens and you shouldn't feel embarrassed! It is a compliment that you are so relaxed. Your massage therapist will gently wake you to ensure you're still comfortable to continue with your treatment.
No! Body hair is of no concern to massage therapists. Mathew is a strong advocate for body autonomy and shaving is a personal choice that nobody else gets a say in. Shave your legs or don't, we're concerned about your muscles!
Please refrain from using cannabis or alcohol prior to your massage for at least 4 hours. Inebriation will mean your massage can not go ahead. Massage after alcohol can cause bruising, numbed senses, amplified drunkenness - and a worse hangover - even from only 1 drink.
Yes! When booking please let Mathew know and he can work with you to ensure you feel safe at all times.
